Why get a Service?
As with any mechanical device, problems can arise. A service will look at the motor, brakes, battery, steering, tyres and wheels, lights and other electrics, to ensure everything is in proper working order. If you take your scooter on the road it is especially important to be sure that it is mechanically safe. Our services are carried out by one of our qualified engineers, either at your home, or at our store in Orpington. If new parts are required these will of course be extra – it’s no different from getting your car serviced. We will always give you a price for parts, and check you are happy before ordering.
How often should I have a service?
Servicing should be carried out every 12 months.
Caring for your batteries
It is very important to look after your batteries. Keep them dry, do not store them outside in damp or cold conditions, and ensure they are charged fully after every use, and also charged overnight once a week for 12 hours when not in use. Also bear in mind that extreme cold can cause batteries to deplete quicker.
